My family has long loved one particular natural waterfall up in the mountains. We probably have hundreds of shots of said waterfall from multiple angles, taken by each and every one of us, during every season. Back in December, I decided that the shots we had just weren't enough and decided that I ought to visit while the falls were still iced over. What's more, I decided it would be neat to get the pictures in the morning light.
So LH, CoolBreeze, Boom, and I all got up bright and early on Sunday morning and headed out on a photography expedition.
Well, perhaps not "bright" and early. Despite the incredibly sunny day before, Sunday chose to be extremely cloudy.
Was I happy with that fact? Not really. And sadly, neither was my camera. So while I did get some shots, they weren't quite what I was hoping for.
Trust me, there's moving water under all of that ice.
I did a lot of macro shooting since the water and ice wasn't as sparkly as I'd hoped.
